Sticky Date Pudding

(BAKEL'S)

Ingredients:

500 g. Sticky Date mix          2 eggs          150ml water



Place the ingredients in a mixing bowl and blend on low speed for 30 seconds. Scrape down and blend again on medium speed for a further 30 seconds.

For Cake: Place into a greased 21cm sponge tin and bake at 170C for approx. 30 – 40 mins depending on your oven or until tested with a skewer. Start testing after 25 mins. Ice with a buttercream made using brown sugar.

For Pudding: Place mix into a greased pudding basin, cover with greaseproof paper or lid and steam for 3 hours or until cooked. Serve with a butterscotch sauce (ask us for a recipe) or add some millionaires caramel to the pudding basin before putting batter on top.

Ingredients: Wheat flour, Sugar, Dates(14%), Maltodextrin, Vegetable fat (veg oil, emulsifiers(471, 477), antioxidant (320)), Milk solids, Raising agents (450, 500, 541), Salt, Colour (150c, preservative(223)),Spice, Mineral Salt (170), Wheat Starch, Vegetable gum (415), Preservative (202), Acidity regulator(330), Malt Extract.
