Linseed, Sunflower and Almond meal
This is a very versatile product full of health benefits. Use it in muffins & cakes, on cereals or in smoothies, with breadcrumbs as a coating or topping, and it is particularly good on fruit salads, yoghurt, icecream etc.
Linseeds (Flaxseed): The essential fatty acid Omega 3 found in linseeds is strongly believed to have a preventative effect in cardiovascular diseases. Omega 3’s help prevent blood platelets from clotting in veins, suppress the development of deposits in veins and make veins more elastic, thus preventing hypertension. Research by the FDA reveals that flax increases the immune system, increases vitamin D and calcium retention. It is high in plant lignans which have anti-tumor properties, and high levels of antioxidants.
Sunflower Seeds: An excellent source of protein with all the essential amino acids well balanced. An excellent source of vitamin D, Calcium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Magnesium, Silicon, Iron, Vitamin E and B group vitamins.
