Weigh 'n Pay Pastry for Mince Pies

Recipe:

PASTRY FOR MINCE PIES (1)
 
450g Margarine or butter  
450g plain flour
1tsp Cream of Tartar
160ml cold soda water
2 tsp brandy
½ tsp salt
 
Cream margarine, salt, cream of tartar and flour together. Add soda water and brandy and mix well. It is best to work the ingredients with two knives to avoid getting the pastry too hot. Roll in waxed or bakers paper and refrigerate for at least an hour.
 
Roll out the pastry on a floured board. Cut out a larger size base to fill a patty pan. Fill with a teaspoon of fruit mince (available from W&P). Put a smaller circle of pastry on top, sealing it with a splash of milk. Brush the top with milk and sprinkle with caster sugar and bake for 8-10 mins in a hot oven. (230C).
